Living in the Field

Leader(s):
Rudy Bauer, Ph.D.
Leader(s):
Sharon Bauer, MSN
When:
Friday Mornings from 7:30am to 8:45am US/Eastern

This phenomenological seminar focuses on the practice of meditation as the art of becoming aware of the nature of one's own awareness. The object of awareness becomes awareness itself. In meditation sessions one learns to hold the field, enter the field, rest deeply in the field and become the field itself. Through meditation practice one can begin to experience and embody the qualities of this innate immediate field of consciousness.

The qualities of the field are spaciousness, energy, light and compassion. The field of awareness itself becomes the base and the medium through which we experience our self and the world. Once established in the awareness state we practice the method of extension in order to expand the field of ongoing Being; the field which is infinite in its horizon and so multidimensional. The experience of the state of awareness is entered into through many different methods and in a sense every experience is method.

We are artfully eclectic and practices from many traditions are utilized, including: Dzogchen Tibetan Buddhism, Hindu Kashmir Shavism, Western Phenomenology, Christian Mystic traditions as well as Sufism and Taoistic Qi Gong understanding.

This seminar is intensely experiential and everyone enters and holds the primordial field of awareness together, thus learning to generate and sustain this view both for one's self and the other.

We have no sessions currently scheduled, but stay tuned ...
